UPS CLAIMS THAT US AIR FREIGHT CHARGES ARE RAISED | Sowoll
UPS recently announced that in 2019, its ground operations, aviation business, international business tariffs, and air freight rates between the United States and the United States - Canada - Puerto Rico increased by an average of 4.9%.
UPS claims that US air freight charges are raised by an average of 4.9% in 2019.
In addition, if the sender does not provide the package level details (PLD) to the joint package before the mail delivery, UPS will charge the sender a processing fee, and some value-added services charges will increase. The fuel surcharge will apply to packages that are extra processed, exceed the maximum, require signature, and must be signed by an adult.
In order to prove the reasonableness of the tariff increase, UPS stressed that it will continue to invest in transportation capacity, technology and transportation network coverage to support customer growth, improve the visibility of mail delivery, and meet customer service needs.
UPS said that the tariff increase is to support the continued expansion of the business and capacity enhancement, while ensuring that the value and high level of service provided by UPS is fairly compensated.
