Important Notes about Customs of the Indonesia:

Consignees, before the departure of goods, must confirm with destination ports whether the goods have the right to be imported or exported for ocean shipping, express or air freight. Without authority, remember not to export. If destination ports have no right to import and clearance is not available, agents are needed as consignees to facilitate clearance and additional charges are to be incurred.

If machinery are exported to Indonesia, remember to report them honestly. The goods must be brand new, or they will be dealt via SGS with additional fees incurred.

Exported goods must be consistent with actual packing lists. If inconsistency is discovered between the goods and the actual packing lists, invoices and copies of bills of lading, expensive fines will be incurred. Abbreviations should not be used. Details should be specified.
